Wheelchair Access

We can provide wheel chair accommodations, however, advance notice is necessary and is solely at our discretion since we are required to adhere to certain Fire Marshall guidelines. Other special needs will be considered. It is important to us that your experience be as enjoyable as possible.

Hearing Loop

The Board of Directors of Island Players has installed a Hearing Loop System in the theater. Recognizing that many of the people attending their local theater are among the over 3 million Floridians who suffer from hearing loss, often called “the invisible disability”, the Board vote to install the system was unanimous.

Around the world, “Loops” are recognized as the preferred and most effective system for improving intelligibility of the spoken word for those with hearing loss and those who wear hearing aids. It is the only system that cochlear implant wearers can use. 

The chosen installer, Complete Hearing Solutions, located in St. Pete, installed the first Hearing Loop in Florida in 2010. This ADA approved system has been installed and the Board expects there will be perfect sound for all seats. It will deliver a pure, clean signal direct to the hearing aid to maximize the benefits of digital hearing aids and to deliver the best possible sound to the user.
