At their senior prom, four friends promised to be in each other's weddings no matter what. They just didn't know they'd be playing bridesmaids quite so often. More than 30 years later, these Southern friends-for-life are still determined to honor that vow.

New friends silver, old friends gold is the way the song goes. At its heart,
Always a Bridesmaid is a story of friendship, particularly old friends. Libby Ruth, Monette, Charlie and “forgive-me-change student” Deedra (from Connecticut) have been friends since middle school. They became inseparable as teenagers and, when they had no dates for Prom, they agreed they would be each other’s bridesmaids.
Flash forward 30 years, we meet Libby Ruth’s daughter Kari reminiscing in her own wedding reception speech about some recent weddings the best friends have gone through. They are lucky they each have three best friends to get them past the ex-husbands, runaway brides and raucous pre-wedding parties.
Before you know it, the champagne is overflowing, undergarments are showing, and the mother of the bride is cowering. But there is more laughter than tears in this story and you will leave laughing. Enjoy Always a Bridesmaid.
